Tomorrow Kris and I will celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. We were married on June 19, 2004 on a Saturday evening at 6:00pm. Much to my dismay it begin to storm like crazy about 5:30pm. Luckily I was already in the church so I missed getting drenched like many of our guest. But we were told on several occasions that if it rained on your wedding day, it ensured a life full of happiness. So far they were right.
For a little of background knowledge, this was Kris’ and I ‘s second marriage each… We blended our families together…. He had three children under the age of 4 and I had five (four legged) children who were all over the age 6. So needless to say it was a transition for all of us. He had lived in Vilonia, I lived in Malvern and taught school in Hot Springs. We sold both houses and moved to Greenbrier, Arkansas.
Although our lives have not turned out exactly like we had planned or thought it would, we are making the best out of our situation. As the saying goes, when life hands you lemons you make lemonade, lemon pie, lemon drops, lemon Kool aide, lemon cake, lemon squares etc. We have done quite well making our lives into something special….. It may not be perfect, it may be overwhelming at times, but it is our life and we are proud of it….. We have three awesome kids, three dogs (only one left of the original five, yep, the rest are in doggy heaven) and we love each other more than either of us thought was possible.
Our lives were brought together in a very MIRACULOUS way…. I am going to share the story of how we met at a later time, (As soon as I have time to write it) so be sure and check back for an entry titled Coincidence or Divine Arrangement.
